Results of AS Excavation presented in Snape
On Wednesday 8th January 2014 Antony Mustchin (Project Officer (Post-Excavation), Archaeological Solutions Ltd) gave a presentation to members of Snape Women’s Institute (WI) on the results of an archaeological excavation undertaken on land to the north of Blyth Houses, Church Road, Snape (Suffolk Coastal). Also present on the day was Mr Brian Boulton, the Local History Recorder for Snape. The presentation, which covered the prehistoric, Romano-British and Anglo-Saxon development and use of the site, was followed by a display of some of the artefacts found. As a show of thanks, members of Snape WI will be making a donation to the Suffolk branch of The Motor Neurone Disease Association (Registered Charity Number: 294354). Archaeological Solutions Ltd is grateful to Snape WI for their kind reception.
